Commodity Watch: Aluminium Futures Fall On Trimmed Positions

New Delhi: Aluminium prices on Tuesday slipped 10 paise to Rs263.30 per kilogram in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in April fell 10 paise or 0.04 per cent to Rs263.30 per kg in 658 lots.
Zinc futures rise on high demand
Zinc prices on Tuesday rose Rs1.40 to Rs273.45 per kilogram in the futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for April delivery traded higher by Rs1.40 or 0.51 per cent at Rs273.45 per kg with a business turnover of 228 lots.
Copper futures gain on increased bets
Copper futures on Tuesday climbed Rs3.75 to Rs882.05 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for April delivery rose Rs3.75 or 0.43 per cent to Rs882.05 per kg in a business turnover of 1,683 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
